The NSW Region of the Australian Limousin Breeders Society has 234 members dedicated to breeding high quality Limousin bulls suitable for:
• Production of milk vealers for the domestic market by cross breeding with dairy cross cows. These calves are also ideal for the specialized light veal market.
• Production of high yielding heavy steers by crossbreeding with British and Tropical breed cows and heifers. These steers and heifers are suitable for the Japanese, Korean and the European Union export markets as well as hotels and restaurants. They may be finished on grass or finished in a feedlot for 80 to 150 days.
• Production of high content Limousin cattle suitable for the growing market for low fat high yielding carcases from self replacing herds
