Newsletter for the week ended 23rd September 2005

New Date for National Show and Sale

Due to a clash of dates with the Murray Grey National which they claim is always the second week after Easter we have been forced to switch the date for our 2006 National Show and Sale to Thursday 20th April 2006. Inspection and Junior events will take place on Wednesday 19th April, Friday 21st is not available.

Our only other alternative was to take the week following the Murray Grey Sale but this would clash with Beef 2007.

The Annual General Meeting of ALBS will be on Wednesday 19th April.

Fine Tuning the International Limousin Conference

We are now doing lots of fine tuning of the International Conference program and some of the changes we have made are to encourage as many Australians as possible to be involved in parts of the Conference program. The opening dinner will now be at the Airport Hilton Hotel on Saturday 1st April. This is the hotel in which our overseas participants will be staying. The closing dinner will now be on Friday 7th April at the brand new Waterview Convention Centre in Bicentennial Park adjacent to the Homebush Showgrounds. The actual Conference will continue on to Saturday 8th April with the large Limousin Show followed by a Sale and an informal dinner at the Showgrounds on the Saturday evening. Watch this space for more news on the Conference.
