This sale with 33 female lots including two calves at foot
by the renowned Jockey is scheduled for 7th June at the Farmfest
Site west of Toowoomba, Qld. Five
packages of semen from a wide range of well known Limousin sires including
Frappeur, Hervin, Hilton, Broadmeadows Tombola, Earthquake and Harvest Olympus
have just been added to the web catalogue.
Faxed copies of these semen lots are available from the ALBS office.
I was saddened to learn that Jean Thomas passed away on
Tuesday. Jean and husband Graham ran
the successful Fassifern Limousin Stud at Boonah, Qld, for many years and Jean
was a very efficient secretary of the Queensland Region for several years. Jean, who was only 53, was diagnosed with
liver cancer about three months ago.
Deepest sympathy to Graham and family.
Two Benamitchy French Pure cows were sold over the hooks by
Crystal Park Limousins last week for $1,168 and $1,152. Both cows were 18 years of age and produced
calves last year. Ironically one cow
was penalised 5 c/kg for being "over fat" as she measured 18mm at the
rump.
