The Tasmanian Limousin Promotion Group has 8 members dedicated to breeding high quality Limousin bulls suitable for:
• Production of milk vealers for the domestic market by cross breeding with dairy cross cows. These calves are also ideal for the specialized light veal market.
• Production of high yielding heavy steers and heifers suitable for the Japanese, Korean and the European Union export markets as well as Australian hotel and restaurants by cross breeding with British breed cows. These may be finished on grass .
• Production of high content Limousin cattle suitable for the growing market for low fat high yielding carcases from self replacing herds.
