Limousin and Limousin X cattle performed strongly in the Woolworths Premier Carcass Competition.
The Champion Medium Weight carcase was a Limousin X exhibited by St Joseph’s High School, Aberdeen scoring 93 points. This steer scored maximum points for fat depth, fat colour, marbling and meat yield. It had a dressing percentage of 60.0 percent and a carcase weight of 248.6kg. Reserve Champion Medium Weight carcase was a Limousin exhibited by Travis Luscombe with a score of 92 points dressing at 58.1 percent. It scored maximum points for fat colour, marbling and meat yield.

Champion Heavy Weight carcase was the Grand Champion Led steer, a Limousin exhibited by the Sowden and Riley Families scoring 92 points. This steer scored maximum points for fat depth, fat colour, meat colour and EMA, and also scored 4 out of 5 points for marbling. It had a dressing percentage of 61.5% and a carcase weight of 362.8kg and sold for $61/kg to the Eatons Hill Hotel.

Dalby State High School Bunya Campus won the junior steer carcase a Limousin X which scored maximum points for fat depth, fat colour, meat colour, marbling, meat yield and EMA. It had a dressing percentage of 58.9% and a carcase weight of 279kg. West Moreton Anglican College won the junior heifer carcase, a Limousin X which scored maximum points for fat depth, fat colour, marbling meat yield and EMA. It had a dressing percentage of 61.4% and a carcase weight of 245.6kg.
