Limousin Breed Dress Code For Exhibiting Limousin Cattle
The following Breed Dress Code provides a general expectation for Limousin exhibitors showing Limousin cattle at shows or other events. Limousin exhibitors are encouraged to adhere to the Limousin Breed Dress Code when exhibiting Limousin cattle to demonstrate pride in the Limousin breed and enhance Limousin brand recognition. It is expected that all items of clothing described in the Breed Dress Code be worn in the manner in which they were designed to be worn.
Individual show societies and event organisers may have different dress requirements for participation in their events. The ALBS acknowledges this and supports their requirements and their right to enforce their requirements as they deem appropriate.
Head wear
Hats must be worn and are to be broad brimmed.
Caps are not acceptable head wear for the showring.
Pants
Pants are to be full length blue denim jeans.
Shirts
Shirts are to be light green, long sleeved and have a business style collar suitable for wearing a tie with (as available with the Limousin logo through ALBS).
Vests
Vests are to be worn and are to be the Limousin green vest available through ALBS.
Neck Wear
Ties are to be plain dark green (as available with the Limousin logo through ALBS).
A strand of pearls or look alike pearls, may be worn as an alternative to a tie.
Relaxation of the dress code if weather is hot
If conditions are deemed as too hot for vests and/or ties by the show society or event manager the Limousin Shed Captain may give permission for all Limousin exhibitors at that show to not wear vests and/or ties provided they are all wearing the appropriate light green shirt and if ties are worn they are the appropriate plain dark green tie as stated above.
