Dear Members,

Many of you have already registered and started using the ILROnline system. For those members who haven’t started on the ILROline program yet I recommend that you register and enjoy the benefits of the ease of use of the new program. ABRI are currently working on linking the database system to the new ILROnline program which will mean one entry point for all information and transactions. The Internet Solutions program that most of you have used to register calves, do fates, weights and traits is being replaced with the ILROnline system and the old system will be made redundant at an agreed date which is likely to be March 2022. If any members are having trouble using the new ILROnline please contact the Genetic Hub office to arrange support.

Additionally, Neogen has announced their development in Queensland to service the growing demand on genomics and DNA. I feel this is great news for the beef industry in Australia and New Zealand and I hope this leads to shorter lead times on DNA tests as well as leading into future breed improvement support. With the beef industry enjoying substantially increased returns it is a good time to be a beef producer and a great opportunity to progress your use of modern technology for your ongoing success.
