Limousin breeders put on a very strong showing of Limousin at this year’s Canberra Royal Feature Show with 140 entries going under the judge, Andrew Green, Red Hill Herefords, Euroa, Vic.

Canberra 2015 Grand Champ Bull

Birubi Knightime K1, Calf Champion Bull, Grand Champion Bull & Champion Interbreed Bull

Limousin breeders put on a very strong showing of Limousin at this year’s Canberra Royal Feature Show with 140 entries going under the judge, Andrew Green, Red Hill Herefords, Euroa, Vic.

Birubi Knightime K1, exhibited by Tony and Charna Starr, Starrs Limousin stud took out the Calf Champion Bull and then went on to be sashed Grand Champion Bull. Weighing 561 kilograms, the Wulfs Xcellsior son was a standout to judge Andrew Green. This young bull then went on to be awarded Champion Interbreed Bull, a tremendous achievement for a 12 month old bull.

The Reserve Calf Champion Bull went to Birubi Karlos K2, exhibited by Michael & Anettte Tynan of Birubi Limousin Stud, Borambola, NSW.

Intermediate Champion Bull was awarded to Flemington Joker J33, exhibited by John & Iola Robson, Flemington Limousin stud, Adelong NSW. Birubi Jericho J250, exhibited by Birubi Limousins took out the Reserve Intermediate Champion Bull.

Myers King Jack exhibited by Scott Myers & Samantha Beresford of Myers Limousin Stud, Moss Vale NSW, was awarded Senior Champion Bull, and Reserve Senior Champion Bull was awarded to Birubi Hummer H57, exhibited by Glynn, Anne & Ashur Williams of Newton-Wood stud, Murrumbateman, NSW.Calf Champion Female was awarded to Flemington Fleur K15, exhibited by Flemington Limousin stud with Longreach Sabrina Kiara exhibited by Longreach Limousin stud taking out the Reserve Calf Champion Female.

Intermediate Champion Female was awarded to Birubi Wanda Jaz J237, exhibited by Birubi Limousins.

Canberra 2015 Intermediate Champ Female

Summit Missive J24 was awarded Reserve Intermediate Champion Female, exhibited by Hayden Green of Summit Limousins.Patrick Halloran of Bushpark Limousins exhibited the Senior Champion Female, Bush Park Ruby, who then went on to be sashed Grand Champion Female and Supreme Limousin exhibit. The three-year-old cow had a seven-month-old heifer calf at foot, and judge Andrew Green, Red Hill Herefords, Euroa, Vic, said the cow had substance and style. The cow had previously been supreme Limousin exhibit at the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show and reserve interbreed champion cow at the same event. Her sire, Bushpark Thunder Express, was also a supreme Limousin exhibit at Melbourne Show.

The Reserve Senior Champion Female was awarded to Birubi Hellene H15, exhibited by Birubi Limousins. The Sire’s Progeny Group was awarded to the Birubi Limousin stud entry by sire Donna Valley Poll Dictator. Birubi Limousins also took out the Dam’s Progeny Group with their entry out of the dam Lloyd’s Black Polled Wunda. Birubi Limousin went on to also win the Breeders Group and the Pair of Heifers class.

Mount View Orchards Batlow, (Flemington Limousins), took out the Pair of Bulls.
