Keystone Johnny English hit the top price, and created a new record price for bulls, in the Limousin on line Muscle VI Sale held on Auctions Plus last Friday, in what organizers describe as a very strong sale. Johnny English made a sale topping $11,100 for vendors Tim and Melissa Keys, Springhurst, Victoria, selling to Norman Ironside’s newly established Escarda Limousin stud, Freemans Reach, NSW. Escarda also paid top price in the female offering, securing lot 41, also from Keystone Limousins, KLG Victoria F24 at $4400. Escarda purchased a total of 5 lots throughout the sale.

Second top price in the bull offering was $6000 being paid for lot 8, Parkview Jackhammer on account of Michael Goldby, Parkview Limousins, Portland Vic.

Overall, bulls averaged a very pleasing $5375, females averaged $2782. As is the norm with this sale, semen and embryos sold very well with almost a complete clearance of lots with semen selling to a top of $900 per straw for Loosebeare Fantastic. Average for semen was $135 while embryos averaged $372, topping at $450 per embryo.

Registered bidders logged on from Rockhampton, Qld, South East Queensland, almost all NSW, all regions of Victoria and the South East of SA.
