The champion export steer, exhibited by Lewis Bruggemann and bred by SR & HE Jaeschke was awarded champion export carcase with a score of 87.13. The Limousin X Shorthorn steer had a carcase weight of 342kg, a dressing percentage of 55.16 percent, it scored maximum points for p8 fat, rib fat, EMA and total yield.

Limousin placed second in the Borthwick Trophy team of three steers with a score of 318.84 behind the Simmental team who scored 321.89.

Limousin members achieved the top two places in the Steer Bonanza. David & Alison Galpin were awarded 1st place with a Limousin X Charolais/Murray Grey. Bruce & Sue Griffiths placed 2nd with a purebred Limousin.
