Limousin breeders put on an excellent showing of Limousin at this year’s Melbourne Royal Feature Show with 86 entries going under the judge, Peter Falls, Finley, NSW.

Champion Female Calf was awarded to Flemington Wendy K71, exhibited by Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW and Reserve Champion Female Calf was Baylim Kay Robina, exhibited by Bethany Bayliss, Baylim Limousin Stud, Armidale, NSW.

Junior Champion Heifer was Wyalla Kyna, exhibited by Jeremy and Phillipa Walsh, Ruby Park Limousins, Dubbo, NSW and Reserve Junior Champion Heifer was Flemington Black Honey K7, exhibited by Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW.

Patrick Halloran, Bush Park Limousins, Kyneton, Vic exhibited the Senior and Grand Champion Cow, Mandayen Jill J2402 who then went on to be sashed the Supreme Limousin Exhibit. Reserve Senior Champion Cow was Flemington Xcel Unreal J8, exhibited by Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW.

Champion Bull Calf was Oakwood Cutt Masta, exhibited by Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW and Reserve Champion Bull Calf was Progress Mimi’s Boy L3, exhibited by Progress Limousins, Leeton, NSW.

The Junior and Grand Champion Bull was awarded to Flemington Kracker K50, exhibited by Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW and Reserve Junior Champion Bull was Birubi Karlos K2, exhibited by Annette Tynan, Birubi Limousins, Borambola, NSW.

Senior Champion Bull was Birubi Jupita J15, exhibited by Annette Tynan, Birubi Limousins, Borambola, NSW and Reserve Senior Champion Bull was Beckenham Jack Daniels J40, exhibited by Bruce & Sue Griffiths, Beckenham Limousins, Kyneton, Vic.

Mount View Orchards, Flemington Limousin Stud, Batlow NSW performed well in the group classes, winning the Best Bull and Heifer Class, the Best Two Bulls, the Group of Three, the Dam’s Progeny Group (with progeny out of Premier Vixen C61) and the Most Successful Limousin Exhibitor.

Jeremy and Phillipa Walsh, Ruby Park Limousins won the Best Two Heifers and Annette Tynan, Birubi Limousins won the Sire’s Progeny Group with a group sired by Donna Valley Poll Dictator.
